HOLLY ELLYAS, INJURED IN A ROLL OVER CAR ACCIDENT

Holly was severely injured in a roll-over accident. The car rolled down a ravine of 50ft and wound up in the middle of the Arkansas river. Her granddaughter Hailey was also involved, being the brave girl she is, Hailey, said Grandma, Im sorry, I have to leave and get help. She swam to shore through the swift currents of the river. Hailey is fine and wound up with just a few minor scrapes. Holly.....was trapped in the car for two hours (yes two hours, in the middle of the river in winter-time). Fremont rescue team rescued her, thank God, no hypthermia set in (really thank God). She suffered fractures of six vertebrae and several ribs. She will be in the hospital for at least 3 months.

Holly has always been a public servant. She is a CNA and worked in the Columbine Manor, Salida Colorado for 20+ years and 13+ years in the Valley Manor, Canon City, caring for elderly, handicapped and handicapped state prisoners (yes prisoners !!!). She loved her patients. !!!!!

Holly is in the Trauma rehab center in Colorado Springs. Her injuries are extensive with six fractured vertebrae, several broken ribs. But not a broken spirit! She will have extensive treatments and therapy over a minimum of three months in the hospital and several years later, after her release.

She is the family's only bread-winner as her husband is handicapped and has not worked in over 30 years.
