So as you all know me and Scott are doing the London Marathon in….. days.
This is a bit of a long story so bare with
Last year Scott entered us both into the ballot of the marathon however it was only me that got a place through the ballot. As I had a place confirmed through ballot there was no pressure for me to make any money for a charity place. However I said right from the start I wanted to raise money for a children’s charity. Scott didn’t get in on the ballot and was devastated so he tried his hardest to get a charity place, which proved a hard task. He finally got his place with Coeliac Uk but had to raise a large sum of money if he wanted to run. I thought at this point he was going to need my help so I said I would help him and raise the money for them too. We set out to raise our target and we absolutely smashed it. However, now we feel that we would like to try and raise a little bit for a charity that is very close to home. We know it’s a big ask and we are truly grateful to every single person who has donated so far it hasn’t gone unnoticed at all.
And we appreciate it so much. But we are now going to try and raise a bit of money towards 1000 miles for 1000 smiles.

Just so people that aren’t from Ashbourne are aware, this charity is incredible and is raising funds to support children on ward E39 at the QMC, brain tumour research, the family and other charities that have supported the family throughout.
Eve was a young girl who went to school with my son Keiran, she was always smiling and happy and Keiran would often share stories with me of times they had spent doing Eric time or nurture group together Sadly last November after a four and half year fight Eve sadly lost her battle with this horrible disease. She went through things that no child should ever have to go through.
Eves uncle has set up this charity and is intending to walk 1000 miles this year and he is smashing it so far. My 26 miles seem like nothing
Me and Scott will both be wearing our purple bracelets on the day and I will be hoping that Eve gives me that push that I need to get over the finish line.
So please I know we have asked for so much but if anyone would like to donate for this incredible charity I honestly would be so grateful.
