Fundraiser for the Hollis Family

Donation protected
Officer Gerry Hollis, a decorated member of the Manchester CT Police Department  was involved in an on-duty car accident on December 13, 2011.  Soon after the accident, Officer Hollis began to experience reoccuring seizures and has been unable to return to duty. At this time, it is unclear if Officer Hollis will be medically cleared to return to work.

Officer Hollis has faithfully served the Manchester community for 15 years as a police officer. In 2008, Officer Hollis was named Police Officer of the Year and has earned numerous department awards during his career including the Exceptional Service Medal and Lifesaving Medal.

Well respected by fellow officers, Officer Hollis is always willing to go beyond the call of duty. When Officer Hollis went above and beyond to help a family in need one Christmas, the Hartford Courant wrote: "Officer Hollis is the kind of public servant Manchester should be grateful to have -- one who knows that the most rewarding part of his job is making life better for others...Officer Hollis did much more than go beyond the call of duty Saturday. He showed strangers the best side of law enforcement".

Officer Hollis and his wife have three young children and are facing mounting bills while he is out on unpaid leave.  We are hoping to
raise funds to help Officer Hollis and his family during this difficult time. Even the smallest amount helps, thank you for your support!
