Greetings to my family, friends, and everyone else who happens to come across this. I recently got injured while off duty about five months ago. I underwent multiple surgeries and now have several metal components in my foot (two plates and thirteen screws ) as a result of the operations and the injury. Despite being approved by my surgeon to return to work on a light duty and restricted basis, my agency has not assigned me any light duty tasks and continues to list me as on sick leave for a year unpaid. As a result of the significant amount of time I've had to take off from work, I have exhausted all of my sick leave, and I do not have any supplemental insurance to help with my medical or daily expenses. I am reaching out for help and support from anyone who can offer financial assistance or even just a prayer during this challenging time. My surgeon has indicated that I will not be able to resume full duty work for at least a year, and I am in need of assistance for this upcoming unpaid year.
