Hollie Elizabeth Hughes

No parent ever thinks of losing there child at such a young age. She came into this world fighting being 3 month premature at 2 pounds and 6 ounces.
She was a beautiful human, with a kind heart and our brave little soldier, she fought to be in this world and to live a beautiful life but it was taken to short.
At 21 years old on the 10th of January, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. No one saw this coming, our hearts were broken but we stayed positive thinking there could be a treatment that could save our Hollie. We got told that the only treatment that the hospital could offer was palatable chemo, we was hoping for another miracle, but that hope was short lived as Hollie deteriorated by the following Wednesday which is when we rushed her into the hospital. She had got an infection and we were told that the cancer had become aggressive and it had spread everywhere. She was told she had 24-48 hours to live. Even with this information she was so brave telling everyone off for crying as she stayed positive for everyone around her, she was planning trips to do once she was better and telling everyone around her to stop bloody crying, I’m not going to die. She beat the doctors odds we had two magical days where we pampered Hollie and took her around the hospital where she waved to everyone putting smiles on everyone’s faces. Our Hollie headed back to the ward with a smile on her face saying that it was the best day ever! When the nurses walked in they said she was the bravest and strongest young girl they knew and she was surrounded by so much love by her family. But sadly on the Sunday morning at 6am she told everyone she was really poorly and that she loved everyone, she turned to her mommy and daddy and told them she loved them and she’ll miss them and her brothers, she showed so much courage and strength to the last breath. At 12:45pm, our Hollie gained her wings and turned into her most beautiful form. She’s now up there with no pain and more smiles to celebrate her beautiful life.
We as family would like to give our brave girl the best send off that she deserves. Could you find it in your hearts to spare some financial support as we wasn’t prepared for our girl to get poorly, any help would be greatly appreciated to help towards funeral costs and any extra will be donated to McMillan. Thank you for reading our story.
