Help Holley & Her Twins During Recovery From Lung Surgery

Donation protected
Holley Stuart is currently at Chandler Regional Hospital recovering from her recent surgery to repair a collapsed lung as a result from her battle with pneumonia this past August & was recently diagnosed with a Bronchopleural Fistula (an air leak in her left lung tissue among other complications related to the infection).

Holley is the single mother and sole provider for her twin 9 year old boys, Mikah & Zephaniah. Her illnesses and hospitalization this year have made it impossible for her to work over the last few months. As a result she was unable to renew the lease on her rental home in Tempe, AZ and has gone through her savings. She will be in the hospital recovering for at least another month according to Doctors- 2 months if she has to have a second procedure. **we are going into the 3rd month now :(

If you would like to help Holley with her financial needs during this time and in preparation for her return home it would be greatly appreciated! If you would like to support this fundraiser in other ways feel free to share the link, visit her in person, donate items for her or the twins directly, or simply keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your support and generosity. We will be posting updates regularly so you can remain in the loop as the situation progresses. May you and yours be healthy & well this Holiday season!

*UPDATE 1/11/24
I am still in the hospital. What started as a small stint has turned into somewhat of a marathon. Here’s the jist of it.
I have been hospitalized for approx 65 days. The majority has been at Chandler Regional with 2 short stays at other hospitals for small procedures.

I still do not have a release date. My twins are doing well they are focusing on getting through 3rd grade and hopefully being able to play in a youth soccer league when I get home!

I just had a 1 out of 3 part invasive surgery that is so complicated I cannot even pronounce the name. Essentially after all this time the holes in my lung tissue never healed themselves (our skin heals and scabs over) but the environment in my lung still had a bacterial infection AS WELL as a newfound fungal infection which is NOT valley fever but rather aspergillosis. The surgery I just had - part 1 was to go in and clean out the lung tissue and vacuum out the remaining infections. Then pack the area so it can be accessed and cleaned daily. Part 2 will involve shaving off 2 ribs to access the lower lung and be able to patch up the holes in a way that will finally be accepted by my body. Part 3 they will go in with plastic surgeons with my thoracic team to seal the holes in my lung with pieces of fat from my belly & close me up and make sure I am not disfigured from all the different procedures. Yes- it is a lot. Yes- I am exhausted and that’s just physically.

Needless to say I have been through A LOT and I won’t bore you with every other thought that stresses me daily about how I will integrate back into “normal” everyday life.

PLEASE, Please help if you can. It would mean the world to me (in any way, shape or form) Sending you all back my love xo -Holley Tasha Stuart
