On Saturday, April 29th, the waters started rising in West Plains, Missouri. They continued until Sunday morning. My sister, Tina Holland, and her family had to evacuate their home on 6th street, as it was only a few houses down from the main drainage ditch/creek of town. They couldn't hardly go anywhere due to all the flooding. Thankfully, they were all safe. The next day they were able to assess the damage. One room and the floor furnace was flooded inside. Outside, the wood siding was damaged. Her storage shed and carport were flooded with several feet of muddy water. She also had a storage unit that was flooded. The cost to repair the room, replace the furnace, replace the siding, and replace some of the large items is more than $15,000. They are trying to do as much of the work themselves as possible. But all of the adults suffer from various health issues which limit what they are able to do. She is also raising two of her young grandkids. On a limited income, the added expenses are causing great financial strain. If you can help, please donate whatever you are able to afford. May God bless you abundantly! Any gift will be greatly appreciated. All donations will be withdrawn by Tina directly. I will update with pictures of the progress as I receive them.
Here's a list of the items being replaced or repaired:
Flooring - Vinyl/Laminate
Central Heating & Cooling Unit
Electrical wiring for unit
Vents for heating unit
Permits for renovations
Vinyl Siding
Lawn Mower
Resetting storage shed
