Despite managing multiple buildings, our super, Carlos, assists the tenants of Hello Lenox with enough grace, compassion, and attentiveness to make it feel like we're his only responsibility. He sorts our garbage and recycling, handles the large waste we can’t easily dispose of, replaces parts of amenities (or the whole thing when necessary), calls in help on our behalf for the things he can’t tackle himself, sweeps and washes our common spaces, replaces and keeps track of our keys, lets us in when we’ve locked ourselves out, and does it all with endless warmth. To say we’re lucky to have him is an understatement, especially given previous supers we’ve had in our building. Carlos is the rare gem who – despite long days and multiple demands on his time – pulls off the difficult feat of making us all remember him as dependable.

As a token of our appreciation, we're pooling together money for a cash gift this holiday. Once the funds are fully gathered, an envelope with the cash will be given directly to Carlos. Here's to making sure those myriad thankless tasks of his don't feel *too* thankless -- and to showing Carlos that he's a critical part of our Hello Lenox community.
