Hi my name is Katherine P Reed and on 12/18/2023 the unexpected happened.

A huge storm with torrential downpour hit Massachusetts causing flooding, power outages, and sewage to back up into homes. Our home was one of those largely effected.

When I woke Monday morning, I found my bathtub overflowing into my kitchen and my sump pump had backed up into the tub and sink. The contaminated water over flowed into the kitchen and down to the basement which floor is rugged. I called the insurance but they will only cover $2500 of the damage.

After meeting with several pros, I have learned the demo will cost between $8000 and $12000. This does not include what it will cost to rebuild the kitchen and living room floor damaged and the constant use of dehumidifiers to dry out the basement and bathroom.

I am not one to ask for help but am in dire need of funds to help rebuild part of our home. With it being near the holidays, we spent much of our funds trying to give our children a Merry Christmas. Please find it in your heart to even donate a small amount of money. It will be very appreciated.
