Holiday Fundraiser for AJ Duarte's Family

Armondo Jose Duarte, 35, of North Pole, passed away from Covid-19 on Nov. 13, 2021.

Armondo was born on Sept. 25, 1986, in Walla Walla, Washington. He married the love of his life, April, in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 10, 2015. Armondo lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, for 21 years. He was a diesel mechanic for US Foods and was with the company for 8 years. He was a loving father, brother, and son. Armondo loved Alaska, fishing, hunting, gardening and blueberry picking. The Duarte family provided the following statement: "Goodbyes hurt the most when the story was not finished."

Armondo is survived by his wife, April Duarte; daughter, Autumn Duarte; brother, Noah Lynch; and mother, Linda McDougall.
