Holiday Drive for Yates Elementary Students

This year the employees of the Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund have connected with Yates Elementary in Logan Square, which serves students from the neighborhood and a Cluster Program for students who require a significantly modified curriculum in a separate classroom for the majority of the day.

The mission of Yates is to promote an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and unique abilities. About 98% of their students are low income, and many families struggle to afford holiday gifts for their children.

We are hoping to supply gifts for about 50 special needs students between the ages of 3-13 this year, and plan to distribute special treats for the entire school delivered personally by Santa.
