Hold Power to Account - Help Me Take A Stand For Justice

Hi, I’m Tyson.

I’m a hard-working professional who partners with businesses and individuals to create awareness and understanding, solve social and business challenges, and drive positive outcomes for people, the community, and the environment.

Not long ago, I gave my all to a community-focused organisation I genuinely believed in — one that supports vulnerable people. I had just moved from Melbourne to Perth and felt grateful to start a new chapter. I delivered results, lived the values, and supported my colleagues with heart for over a year.

Then, without warning, I was suspended and walked out of the building — not because of anything malicious or harmful, but over internal MS Teams messages that were later taken out of context. While I acknowledge some of the tone may not have been ideal, the situation could have been resolved informally — through a conversation, not a termination.

Instead, what followed was a flawed and deeply disappointing process:

• I was denied access to full context and key evidence.
• I was refused reasonable time to respond.
• My concerns about fairness and impartiality were dismissed.

Despite engaging respectfully throughout, I was terminated for “serious misconduct.” That label cost me my job, damaged my reputation, and placed serious strain on me and my young family, all while still finding my feet in a new city.

Allegations were made that included breach of confidentiality, harassment, discrimination, and even criminal defamation. None of which reflect my values, my conduct, or the person I am. For those who know me or have worked with me, you know that I act with integrity and respect.

At conciliation, I had hoped for reason. I asked for a fair resolution, including the dignity of a resignation. My former employer refused to meaningfully engage, offering virtually nothing.

Now, I’m taking a stand. Not just for myself, but for others who may have faced similar treatment but couldn’t afford to fight back. I’m taking my case to a Fair Work Commission hearing to seek fairness, justice, and accountability. To show that due process, transparency, and truth matter.

But legal support isn’t cheap.

I’m seeking help to cover legal fees and associated costs. I don’t take this lightly — it’s confronting to ask for help. But if you believe in standing up for what’s right, please consider contributing. If you’re unable to give, I’d be so grateful if you could simply share this page.
Every dollar helps me continue this fight. Not for revenge, but for fairness, truth, and principle. Everyone deserves access to justice, not just those who can afford it.

Thank you for reading and standing with me.

With gratitude,
Tyson
