Emergency partial tail amputation?! Please help

That fuzzy caramel-colored land seal is Holden. My squish, the partner I’m walking this life with. If you know me, you know this boy saved my life, made my life. We are pretty lucky to have found each other.
He’s had a growth on his tail for about a year. It’s been a little squishy, a bit weird, but not growing, so meh. But on Saturday, things started to get real. A number of vet visits ensued, all wonderful but all saying, it’s not an emergency, but the growth should be removed sooner rather than later. But since removing the growth would mean a partial tail amputation, I needed to find a surgeon.
Cool. So I found a hospital that’s able to get him in on 10/7.
And then yesterday morning, it became hella swollen and red and finally popped. By today, it was looking like it could be an emergency, so we went to the hospital that was going to do his surgery anyway.
As I write this, my boo is in the hospital, going to have the surgery in the morning.
I am notoriously bad at asking for help. So I’m asking. For help.
The emergency bill and the surgery itself is, of course, exceedingly expensive. So I’m throwing this out into the world. Any amount would help.
Thank you so much for reading this far. Here are some more photos, mostly because it makes me feel better.
