Holden's Journey to Recovery from Leukemia and HLH
Donation protected
Please help support 12 year old Holden and his family through these unforeseen and devastatingly difficult recent diagnoses.
After several trips to the ER for nosebleeds and other alarming symptoms, Holden was admitted to Doernbecher Children's Hospital on December 28th, 2023 and has been bound to his hospital room ever since. He was initially diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-Cell ALL), however, shortly thereafter he was also diagnosed with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) which is a rare immune dysregulation disorder. HLH requires an uncommon and difficult to acquire medication as well as a bone marrow transplant.
Holden has experienced so many hardships in such a short amount of time (including chemotherapy; aggressive HLH treatments; seizures; brain surgery; blood transfusions; isolation and fear) He has a long road ahead as he and his family prepare for his upcoming bone marrow transplant and the challenges and difficulties that will arise from juggling simultaneous treatments for his leukemia and HLH diagnoses.
Supporting this family in any way you can, big or small, will help alleviate some of the financial burdens they face, allowing them to focus wholeheartedly on Holden's care and recovery.
With utmost gratitude, we thank you!
