About Us

We are Haven Pet Home & Animal Care Foundation, lovingly known as Haven Dogs — a volunteer-driven animal welfare organization in Nigeria dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

Our mission is simple but urgent: to give voiceless animals a second chance at life. Every day, we see dogs left on the streets, tied up in terrible conditions, or bred carelessly without proper care or vaccination. Many suffer from starvation, illness, and abuse. We step in to rescue them, provide food, medical care, and love — and work to find them forever homes.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Right now, we are working to expand our capacity to save more lives by building a proper shelter — a safe and clean space where our rescued dogs and cats can recover, play, and heal. We are also in urgent need of support to sustain our daily operations.

The funds from this campaign will go toward:

Building Stormy Homes Shelter – A permanent, well-equipped space for rescued animals.

Feeding and Nutrition – Many of our rescues arrive malnourished; feeding them properly is a daily challenge.

Veterinary Care & Hospital Bills – Covering emergency treatments, vaccinations, and surgeries for injured or sick dogs.

✂️ Spay & Neuter Program – To help control overpopulation and prevent more suffering on the streets.

Shelter Maintenance – Clean water, bedding, electricity, and sanitation for a safe, healthy environment.

Why It Matters

In Nigeria, animal welfare is still widely overlooked. There are no strict breeding laws, and many people abandon or mistreat dogs and cats without consequence. Haven Dogs exists to change that narrative — one rescue, one life, and one shelter at a time.
