Dear friends, dear supporters, Our little Maryam is only 2 ½ years old – cheerful, curious, and full of life. But just a few days ago, her family’s world was turned upside down: During a routine check-up, she was diagnosed with leukemia. Although she has no symptoms yet, she needs to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. Maryam lives with her parents in Baku, where the healthcare system is not like in many other countries. Her family has to cover the entire cost of treatment themselves – an unimaginable burden.
