Mein Name ist Constantin, ich bin 21 Jahre alt und lebe in Deutschland. Über meine Mutter, die aus Rumänien stammt, habe ich dort Verwandtschaft, darunter meine Cousine Amalia, die gerade einmal fünf Jahre alt ist. Amalia spielte früher voller Freude mit Hunden und Katzen und träumte davon, einmal Ärztin oder Krankenschwester zu werden. Ende Juli kam jedoch der Schock: die Diagnose Leukämie (ALL).

In Rumänien hat die Chemotherapie bereits begonnen, doch die Heilungschancen liegen dort nur bei etwa 60 %. In Deutschland oder Italien hingegen betragen sie 80–90 %. Für Amalia bedeutet das: Nur eine Behandlung im Ausland kann ihr Leben retten. Wir möchten sie deshalb nach Italien bringen, in das Ospedale Regina Margherita in Turin, eine spezialisierte Kinderklinik. Dort soll sie die bestmögliche Therapie erhalten.

Doch diese Chance ist mit großen Kosten verbunden. Die Familie muss für die Dauer der Behandlung nach Italien ziehen. Der Vater sucht bereits Arbeit in Italien, damit die Familie in die italienische Krankenversicherung aufgenommen werden kann. Trotzdem bleibt unklar, welche Kosten für Medikamente, Gebühren oder Unterkunft zusätzlich anfallen.

Numele meu este Constantin, am 21 de ani și locuiesc în Germania. Prin mama mea, care este originară din România, am rude acolo, printre care și verișoara mea Amalia, care are doar cinci ani. Amalia se juca odinioară cu multă bucurie cu câini și pisici și visa să devină într-o zi doctoriță sau asistentă medicală. La sfârșitul lunii iulie însă a venit șocul: diagnosticul de leucemie (LLA).

În România, chimioterapia a început deja, dar șansele de vindecare sunt doar de aproximativ 60 %. În Germania sau Italia însă acestea sunt de 80–90 %. Pentru Amalia asta înseamnă: doar un tratament în străinătate îi poate salva viața. De aceea vrem să o aducem în Italia, la Ospedale Regina Margherita din Torino, un spital de copii specializat. Acolo ar trebui să primească cea mai bună terapie posibilă.

Însă această șansă vine cu costuri foarte mari. Familia trebuie să se mute în Italia pe durata tratamentului. Tatăl caută deja un loc de muncă în Italia pentru ca familia să poată intra în sistemul de asigurări de sănătate italian. Cu toate acestea, rămâne neclar ce costuri suplimentare vor apărea pentru medicamente, taxe sau cazare. Fără sprijin, nu se pot descurca. De aceea apelăm la ajutor: prin donații vrem să ne asigurăm că Amalia poate fi tratată în Italia. Fiecare donație o aduce cu un pas mai aproape de vindecare, fiecare donație îi salvează viața.
