Seit über 30 Jahren hat Talo seine Familie in Mosambik nicht mehr gesehen.

Er kam als junger Mann mit 18 Jahren nach Deutschland, voller Hoffnung und mit dem Wunsch, sich ein neues Leben aufzubauen. Talo absolvierte eine Ausbildung zum Rangierleiter und war eine Zeit lang verheiratet. Aus dieser Ehe gingen Zwillinge hervor – doch nach einer schwierigen Trennung verlor er den Kontakt zu seinen Kindern. Seitdem ging es für ihn im Leben leider nicht zum Guten weiter.

Körperlich ist Talo inzwischen schwer eingeschränkt. Eine schwere Rückenoperation sowie eine Lungenoperation vor vier Jahren haben ihn arbeitsunfähig gemacht. Seine finanziellen Mittel reichen kaum zum Leben. Und obwohl das Leben ihm viele Steine in den Weg gelegt hat, hat er nie seine Menschlichkeit und Würde verloren.

Was ihn seit Jahrzehnten bewegt, ist der Wunsch, seine Familie in Mosambik noch einmal zu sehen. Seine Mutter ist inzwischen verstorben. Auch seine Schwester lebt nicht mehr. Die Chance, sich von ihnen zu verabschieden, ist vergangen. Aber es gibt noch Angehörige vor Ort, die er gerne ein erstes/letztes Mal umarmen möchte – vielleicht die letzte Gelegenheit in seinem Leben.

Warum ich diese Kampagne ins Leben rufe?

Ich bin seit über 30 Jahren mit Talo befreundet und habe viele Höhen und Tiefen miterlebt. In den letzten Jahren habe ich versucht, ihn so gut es geht im Alltag zu unterstützen – etwa durch Einkäufe, Hilfe bei Arztterminen oder Unternehmungen. Aber auch meine eigenen finanziellen Mittel sind begrenzt. Und so ist aus einem stillen Wunsch nun dieser Aufruf geworden:

Ich möchte versuchen, Talo wenigstens ein einziges Mal im Leben die Chance zu geben, seine Familie wiederzusehen.

Talo selbst kann keine Spenden empfangen – jede Zahlung auf sein Konto würde sofort gepfändet werden. Deshalb organisiere ich diese Kampagne in meinem Namen, mit dem Ziel, ihm den Besuch bei seiner Familie direkt zu ermöglichen.

Das bedeutet ganz konkret:

• Ich werde das gespendete Geld ausschließlich für die notwendigen Kosten verwenden: Flug, Visum, Reisedokumente, Impfungen und gegebenenfalls Unterkunft.

• Talo erhält keinerlei Bargeld.

• Ich werde alle Ausgaben transparent dokumentieren (anonymisiert) und auf Wunsch öffentlich einsehbar machen.

• Ich ziehe keinerlei Verwaltungskosten ab.

Sollte ein Überschuss verbleiben, werde ich mit Zustimmung der Unterstützerinnen und Unterstützer entscheiden, ob dieser gespendet oder sinnvoll im Zusammenhang mit der Reise verwendet wird.

Diese Reise wäre für Talo nicht nur ein Abschied von Verstorbenen, sondern ein Schritt in Richtung innerer Versöhnung – ein würdevoller Moment in einem Leben, das von Schicksalsschlägen geprägt war.

Esperança de um reencontro após 30 anos – Ajuda para o Talo

Há mais de 30 anos que o Talo não vê a sua família em Moçambique.

Veio para a Alemanha ainda jovem, com 18 anos, cheio de esperança e com o desejo de construir uma nova vida. Fez uma formação como manobrador ferroviário e esteve casado durante algum tempo. Desta relação nasceram gémeos – mas depois de uma separação difícil, perdeu o contacto com os filhos. Desde então, a vida infelizmente não lhe correu bem.

Fisicamente, o Talo está hoje bastante limitado. Uma grave operação à coluna e uma cirurgia pulmonar há quatro anos tornaram-no incapaz de trabalhar. Os seus meios financeiros mal chegam para viver. E apesar de todas as dificuldades que a vida lhe trouxe, nunca perdeu a sua dignidade nem a sua humanidade.

O seu maior desejo, há décadas, é ver a sua família em Moçambique mais uma vez. A mãe já faleceu. A irmã também. A oportunidade de se despedir já passou. Mas ainda tem familiares no país – e ele gostaria muito de os poder abraçar uma última vez. Talvez seja mesmo a última oportunidade da sua vida.

Porque é que criei esta campanha

Sou amigo do Talo há mais de 30 anos. Vivemos juntos muitos altos e baixos. Nos últimos anos, tenho tentado ajudá-lo no que posso – com compras, consultas médicas e pequenas coisas do dia a dia. Mas os meus próprios recursos também são limitados. Por isso, este desejo silencioso transformou-se neste apelo: quero tentar dar ao Talo, pelo menos uma vez na vida, a oportunidade de rever a sua família.

O Talo não pode receber doações diretamente – qualquer entrada na sua conta seria automaticamente penhorada. Por isso, estou a organizar esta campanha em meu nome, com o objetivo de lhe possibilitar diretamente esta viagem.

O que isso significa, concretamente:

• O dinheiro doado será utilizado exclusivamente para os custos necessários: voo, visto, documentos de viagem, vacinas e, se necessário, alojamento.

• O Talo não receberá qualquer dinheiro em mão.

• Todas as despesas serão documentadas de forma transparente (com dados pessoais ocultos) e, se solicitado, estarão disponíveis para consulta.

• Não haverá qualquer retenção de custos administrativos.

Se sobrar algum valor, será utilizado de forma sensata no contexto da viagem ou doado, com o acordo dos doadores.

Esta viagem seria, para o Talo, não apenas um adeus aos que já partiram, mas também um passo em direção à reconciliação interior – um momento de dignidade numa vida marcada por grandes dificuldades.

Hope for a Reunion After 30 Years – Help for Talo

Talo has not seen his family in Mozambique for over 30 years.

He came to Germany as a young man at the age of 18, full of hope and with the dream of building a new life. Talo completed a vocational training as a shunting manager and was married for a time. From this marriage, twins were born – but after a difficult separation, he lost contact with his children. Since then, life unfortunately hasn’t treated him well.

Talo is now severely limited physically. A major back surgery and a lung operation four years ago have left him unable to work. His financial resources are barely enough to live on. And even though life has thrown many obstacles in his path, he has never lost his dignity and humanity.

What has moved him for decades is the deep wish to see his family in Mozambique one more time. His mother has passed away. His sister too is no longer alive. The chance to say goodbye to them is gone. But there are still relatives he would love to hug one last time – maybe the final opportunity in his life.

Why I’m launching this campaign

I’ve been friends with Talo for over 30 years. We’ve shared many ups and downs. In recent years, I’ve tried to support him however I can – helping with groceries or medical appointments, for example. But my own financial means are limited. That’s why I’m now turning this quiet wish into a public appeal: I want to try to give Talo the chance, just once in his life, to see his family again.

Talo himself cannot receive any donations – any payment to his account would be seized immediately. That’s why I’m organizing this campaign in my own name, with the aim of enabling his trip to see his family directly.

This means, very concretely:

• I will use the donated money exclusively for essential costs: flights, visa, travel documents, vaccinations, and accommodation if needed.

• Talo will receive no cash directly.

• I will document all expenses transparently (anonymized) and make them publicly available on request.

• I will not deduct any administrative fees.

If there is a surplus, I will decide – with the supporters’ consent – whether to donate it or use it meaningfully in connection with the trip.

This journey would not only be a farewell to those who have passed, but also a step toward inner peace – a moment of dignity in a life marked by hardship.
