Support the Future of Hockey in Virginia – Help Launch EVHC!
Hi friends, family, and supporters,
We’re building something special—and we need your help!
Eastern Virginia Hockey Club (EVHC) is on a mission to bring the first off-ice hockey development center to Virginia. Our vision is to create a space where athletes of all levels can train smarter, harder, and safer—using cutting-edge technology like synthetic ice treadmills, shooting and goalie lanes, and performance-based training systems.
This facility isn’t just about hockey—it’s about opportunity. EVHC will provide:
Personalized, year-round athlete development
Measurable, data-driven results
A supportive, inclusive community for athletes and families
On-site dining + retail for a complete experience
We’ve poured our hearts (and wallets) into this project. Now we’re reaching out to YOU—our community—to help us cross the goal line. Your donation will directly support equipment purchases, facility build-out, and getting the doors open.
Whether you're a hockey parent, former player, fan, or just someone who believes in youth development and big dreams—we’d be so grateful for your support.
Please donate, share, and follow our journey. Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you for believing in our vision.
LIVE COLD,
Kim & The EVHC Team

Who is EVHC?
Eastern Virginia Hockey Club, LLC. (EVHC) is revolutionizing hockey training and athletic development. Unlike traditional hockey clubs, we operate without ice—replacing it with cutting-edge technology, elite coaching, and a comprehensive training methodology.
So what does that mean? Well, let us show you....click here for our introduction video.
Our mission is clear: to develop athletes for life. We focus on individual growth to strengthen the team as a whole. By leveraging state-of-the-art synthetic ice skate treadmills, shooting lanes, goalie training areas, a full-scale fitness gym, and a Proshop, EVHC provides a holistic hockey development experience.
Our philosophy is built on three key pillars:
- Passion – A deep love for the game, the players, and the team.
- Technology & Expertise – Utilizing advanced training tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI), certified coaching, and data-driven methods to measure and enhance performance.
- Pushing Limits – Encouraging athletes to challenge themselves, go beyond expectations, and embrace our core principle—LIVE COLD.
Market Analysis
The U.S. hockey industry is experiencing steady growth, with increasing participation at the youth and amateur levels. According to USA Hockey, over 550,000 players registered in the 2022–2023 season. However, access to ice rinks to train, practice, and play remained limited, creating a demand for alternative training methods that do not rely on traditional ice facilities.
Additionally, the sports performance and fitness industries are booming, with the global sports training market projected to exceed $17 billion by 2027. Hockey players and athletes across multiple disciplines are seeking specialized, high-tech training facilities that offer year-round development opportunities.
Local and Regional Development
Virginia and the broader Mid-Atlantic region have seen an increase in youth and amateur hockey participation, fueled by the success of NHL teams like the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes. However, the region has limited hockey development centers, forcing players to travel long distances or rely on outdated training models. EVHC meets this demand by providing an innovative, local alternative for year-round hockey training.
Competitive Edge
- Unique Training Model – Unlike traditional ice rinks, EVHC provides synthetic ice training, advanced biomechanics analysis, and high-performance conditioning all under one roof.
- Multi-Sport Application – Our methods can be applied to other underserved sports, expanding our market beyond hockey. We want to help athletic communities grow!
- First-to-Market in Virginia – EVHC is the only facility in the state offering this comprehensive hockey development approach, providing a strong competitive edge.
EVHC is set to transform hockey training in Virginia by offering a state-of-the-art, technology-driven development center that meets the growing demand for elite athletic training at a fraction of the cost. With a clear market need, a scalable business model, and a passion for pushing athletes to their highest potential, EVHC is poised for success.
EVHC is woman and veteran owned. The owners are an Active Duty Military Family that is trying to make a dream for the Hampton Roads community a reality and that dream is a $2 Million dollar start-up company. We need help from the community to get our facility going.
While synthetic ice is significantly cheaper (real ice facilities start at $10 Million), we need help to secure our SBA loans - a total of $50,000. The owners have already put in $200,000 of their savings. We know with strangeness of times, we are asking a lot for your help. But $20 gets us closer to our goal and closer to making a significant impact to our community.
Will you help? Will you dare to dream and LIVE COLD with us?
