In 2025, both Kennedy and Owen Hochstetler were diagnosed with Gaucher’s, a rare inherited genetic disorder in which the body lacks an enzyme needed to break down certain fats. Treatment demands regular, lifelong enzyme replacement therapy given by intravenous infusion - every two weeks.

To help combat this, the Hochstetler "village" (yup, that's you!) is rallying together to provide funds for the treatments, travel and all costs a diagnosis like this surfaces.
