Sie ist das Lebenswerk eines außergewöhnlichen Teams – gewachsen über mehr als 20 Jahre, mit einer Liebe zum Detail und einer Qualität, die ihresgleichen sucht.

It’s now or never – Help save the Modellbundesbahn!

Doch genau das ist heute unser größtes Problem. Die Anlage ist so einzigartig und anspruchsvoll, dass sie nicht einfach von „irgendwem“ weitergebaut werden kann. Hinter ihr steht ein kleines Team hochspezialisierter Menschen, deren Wissen, Erfahrung und Handschrift über Jahrzehnte gewachsen sind.

Dieses Team ist inzwischen älter geworden. Einige der wichtigsten Köpfe sind heute über 70 Jahre alt.

Und die Zeit läuft... Der neue Anlagenteil in Altenbeken sollte ursprünglich bis 2030 fertiggestellt werden. Doch durch den aufwendigen Betrieb und begrenzte Bauzeiten konnte seit 2022 nur ein Bruchteil der geplanten Arbeit umgesetzt werden. Unter den aktuellen Bedingungen würde sich die Fertigstellung weit über das Jahr 2040 hinaus verschieben.

Eine Perspektive, die es so nicht geben kann.

Hinzu kommt ein schwerer Verlust:

Im vergangenen Jahr sind drei enge Weggefährten völlig unerwartet verstorben. Menschen, ohne die es die Modellbundesbahn in dieser Form nicht geben würde! Ihr Engagement lebt in der Anlage weiter – und genau deshalb wollen wir dieses Projekt zu Ende bringen.

Die einzige realistische Chance dafür wäre, die Modellbundesbahn für mehrere Jahre zu schließen, um ohne Unterbrechung weiterbauen zu können.

Doch dafür fehlen die finanziellen Mittel. Steigende Kosten und laufender Betrieb lassen keinen Spielraum.

Die eingehenden Spenden werden vollständig in den Weiterbau der Modellbundesbahn investiert. Der Einsatz der Mittel ist für die Bauphasen in den Jahren 2027, 2028 und 2029 vorgesehen.

Bitte beachte: Da die Modellbundesbahn als private, gewerblich betriebene Ausstellung geführt wird, können wir keine Spendenquittungen ausstellen. Deine Unterstützung wird daher als Betriebseinnahme ohne Gegenleistung verbucht und entsprechend auf die genannten Jahre verteilt.

Uns ist wichtig, hier offen und transparent zu sein:

It’s now or never – Help and save the Modellbundesbahn!

The Modellbundesbahn is more than just an exhibition.

It is the life’s work of an extraordinary team – built over more than 20 years, with a level of detail and craftsmanship that is truly one of a kind.

But this uniqueness has become our greatest challenge.

This model railway is so complex and specialized that it cannot simply be continued by “just anyone.” Behind it stands a small team of highly skilled individuals whose knowledge, experience, and personal touch have grown over decades.

Today, this team has grown older.

Some of the key people are now over 70 years old.

And time is running out…

The new section in Altenbeken was originally planned to be completed by 2030.

However, due to the demanding daily operations and limited construction time, only a fraction of the planned work has been completed since 2022. Under current conditions, completion would be delayed beyond 2040.

This is not a future we can accept.

On top of this, we have suffered a devastating loss:

Last year, three close companions passed away unexpectedly. People without whom the Modellbundesbahn would not exist in its current form. Their dedication lives on in this project – and that is exactly why we are determined to finish it.

The only realistic chance to achieve this would be to temporarily close the Modellbundesbahn for several years, allowing uninterrupted construction work.

But this requires financial support we currently do not have.

Rising costs and ongoing operations leave no room for such a step.

All donations received will be fully invested in the continued construction of the Modellbundesbahn.

The funds are planned to be used for the construction phases in 2027, 2028, and 2029.

As the Modellbundesbahn is operated as a private, commercial exhibition, we are unfortunately unable to issue donation receipts. Your support will therefore be recorded as business income without material compensation and allocated across the years mentioned above.
