I am organizing this Gofundme on behalf of the Dowell family.
On Wednesday March 13, father and husband Hobie Dowell awoke confused and disoriented with an abnormally high fever and was subsequently rushed to Blount Memorial hospital. An MRI revealed dozens of lesions on his brain, but the cause is currently unknown. Since being admitted to the hospital, his condition has worsened and his symptons now include memory loss and right side paralysis.
Today, March 15, he is undergoing a craniotomy with the purpose of taking a biopsy of the affected part of his brain. The expected to road to recovery for Hobie will be long and difficult for his family, which is why we are asking for support to ensure that they will have everything that they may need moving forward.
