Hobbit Hole Bed and Breakfast
I have always loved fantasy stories. I love the idea of setting off on an adventure not knowing what is going to happen but being surrounded by friends and ready for anything. Of course, the stories are not the whole part. It is being able to share it with other people equally excited about them.
About 4 years ago I bought a beautiful piece of property. I bought it because I needed a larger home to house my newly adopted kids. Now I could have just bought any home large enough. There were a lot of options, but me and wife had always dreamed of owning some land. Our options where mostly A: big beautiful house with no yard or B: some land but house needs work. Knowing that we could fix up a house we bought option B. Because we made that choice this is our veiw. (This will be what you see as you visit.)
After moving in I started coming up with ideas of how to have fun on this new slice of heaven I had just bought. My first ideas involved tree houses. The problem was finding the right tree and accessibility for younger kids. Then my wife received "The Hobbit" trilogy for Christmas and the idea came to me. I was going to build a hobbit hole.
I started looking into what was needed. While looking for permits I found out that my county allows you to have a home based business of a bed and breakfast. I soon realized it could be the answer to a lot of my dreams. Being able to work from home, spend more time with my family and do work that I love.
I have been working on this project for about two years now. I have learned a lot and have been through a lot to get to this stage. There is a link to my FaceBook page for the project at the bottom if you want to see all the updates over the last couple of years. I am finally at the point where I am ready to build. I have all the needed permits. Now what is needed is funds.

The goal I have for this GoFundMe is the total cost of the project. If I were to reach the whole goal here that would be a dream come true. I am looking into loans and other ways to help fund it as well. I will start to build at the beginning of summer when the ground is dry. It will be completed early autumn. I will be needing funds throughout the project. I don't need them all at once. All the funds will go to building this project. I am planing on making it quite detailed.
This project will benefit my family greatly. My family has grown more then I would have ever imagined. As I mentioned before I have adopted 4 children. Then after ten years of trying and doctors telling us it would not be possible, my wife miraculously got pregnant. Of course we never thought we would have another child of our own because of the the time it took to have the first one, but we were blessed yet again. This left our family at 8 people total. Then something else amazing happened. Years ago we were fostering to adopt before we receive our 4 children to adopt. We of course could not help falling in love with all the children we fostered. This left us heart broken when three children we had raised for a year, ages 1, 2, and 4, had to leave us. We never thought we would see them again but after three years of being apart they have returned to us. We now have 9 children. We never imagined having so many but life is funny that way. This project could help support all of our children to grow up without the lack most of them have already felt. It would also allow me to be home to help my wife raise them and give me the opportunity to watch them grow in stead of being stuck in an office somewhere missing all their great moments of life while I am trying to just keep food on the table.
It will also give me a chance to make a living bringing magic into other peoples lives. So often we get stuck in a rut of the same old thing day after day. This bed and breakfast will give people a chance to break free from the doldrums of life for an adventure. I will have costumes and other items to help my guests enter the world of fantasy. The cost of a night stay will be kept reasonable to allow the maximum amount of people to be able to have the experience.

I would be completely overwhelmed if I was able to hit my goal, but any amount would help to make this a reality. I would be grateful for any dollar that came to me. So grateful that I want to make the donation benefit you as well. Anyone that donates to this cause will receive a gift certificate for twice the amount donated towards a night stay. That means if you donate $10 I will send you a certificate by email worth $20 off a nights stay. I would also like to assure any donors that, even if I do not get fully funded here I will still build this. I have been working on it for two years and will see it through. One way or another it will be built this year. Donations here will not only help you save if you wish to visit, but will lessen the burden of the building cost on me and my family.
The cost of a night stay will be $300 so for $150 donation now you could be one of the first stay the night for lest than a nice hotel would cost with much more space and amenities.
