Hobbes Needs Help To Walk Again!
Donation protected
Since being rescued as a domestic violence survivor, Hobbes, a tiny, brown dachshund, has travelled the nation with his Dad, Bruce Zeman, as the more talented half of the iconic radio duo, "Bruce & Hobbes," - helping others, by promoting kindness..
Prior to being saved by the Zeman family, Hobbes had been beaten, almost to death, by a man and his children. In adopting Hobbes, Zeman's life changed forever, and it wasn't long before the tiny pup joined Dad helping to make the world better for others.
Since joining his Dad on the radio, as co-host of their #1 rated morning radio show, "The Wake-Up Crew with Bruce & Hobbes," in Vermont, Hobbes has helped raise over $500,000 for homeless, abused & neglected animals, while also helping thousands of others find forever homes.
Unable to walk due to a sudden spinal injury, the Zeman family is launching a GoFundMe Campaign to help cover the significant medical bills for his care, and get him a customized doggie wheelchair, so he can walk again. In the above video, you can see what the family has been struggling to deal with.
The Zeman family has 3 other rescue animals - Zoey, Olivia & Willie. All were rescued from abuse / neglect situations, and now live the life an animal should, with their Mom & Dad in beautiful, Vermont.
Bruce has dedicated his life to helping animals, & since his company's creation (Bruce & Hobbes, LLC.), back in 2010, the company has donated almost 100% of money it made, to animal rescue organizations around the world. You can learn more about their important work by visiting, www.bruceandhobbes.com.
Because of the unexpected, significant medical expenses to care for Hobbes & Zoey (almost $22,000 in the last 18 months), the Zeman's are asking for your help.
The money raised will be used to purchase Hobbes a customized, doggie wheelchair, ($1,000), to help him get around, and the rest will be used for his continued care, therapy, and to cover a small portion of the remaining medical bills ($8,000) his family is trying to pay. Because Hobbes is battling a significant injury, the money is needed as soon as possible, to get him the wheelchair, and continue his care.
Note from Bruce Zeman:
I am embarrased we need to ask for help. My entire career, I have found great "wealth" in helping others, because that's what we're supposed to do - help each other, and make the world a better, kinder, place for others -human and animal. That being said, now Hobbes needs help, and I feel I owe him that.
Hobbes is my best friend, & knowing how much he has done to help others, I am distraught seeing the injury is suffering from. His love to my family is unconditional, and although people say I saved him, in truth, he saved me. I (and my wife, Tami) love him so very much, and want to give him the best care possible - these funds will help us do that.
From the bottom of my heart, I am so very grateful to people who have reached out to help us, and save the life of my best friend. At a time when the world needs all the kindness, compassion and empathy that can be found, I am personally very grateful to each and every person who considered helping Hobbes, and my family.
One thing I can promise you is that once we are past this, and Hobbes is on the road to recovery, we will absolutely "pay it forward" and continue to help people & animals, as we have done since 2010.
Thank you, so much, for your generosity in taking the time to read our story, and helping us.
