My BESTIE, Nina Hoague, as many of you already know, she and her husband, Mike, are going through the most difficult time of their lives.

For those that don’t already know, Mike has been in ICU for 7 weeks and unable to communicate with Nina which is heartbreaking in itself.

I’m going to try to provide the short version of what is going on and hope that you feel led in some way to reach out, even if it’s only to pray. Some are sending money directly to them through Zelle and there has been an overwhelming number of requests to start a GoFundMe for them, so here is that page for everyone.

He started with hydrocephalus and needing a shunt placed in his brain to keep the fluid drained off. The shunt quickly became infected and had to be removed. He tested positive for meningitis then sepsis. He had a stoke, a brain bleed and continues to spike fevers making of harder for the doctors to get things regulated with him. He is currently unable to feel or respond to any stimuli on his right side and struggles to be conscious enough to even look at Nina when she visits. He currently has a bacterial infection and they have discovers a few clots that they have a system in place to prevent them from traveling to his heart or lungs. Mike needs prayers for healing as Nina needs prayers for stress relieve, depression & anxiety from seeing Mile like this for so long. They need financial prayers and any help you are lead to provide as his employer is terminating his insurance and asking they they be paid back for insurance premiums paid since a October. They part is another story but just know that they are suffering and need God’s mercy and presence in every moment of this situation. It is with much love that I ask all of my friends to help in any way you feel led. My heart breaks terribly for them as I love them both so much. They are the very first people we met and they welcomed us when we moved to Florida. God Bless all of you and thank you for anything and everything 

Mike has lost his job and medical insurance ended on Dec 15, 2021. Nina has received a notice that their mortgage payment has gone from $935 to$1,600+ due to home owners insurance, county taxes and hazard insurance increases. Nina also has to make a back payment on his insurance and the difference to get the escrow account caught up again (approx $5,000).
