Hello.
I am in desperate need of help in regards to providing funding for my brother to return home to my mother. I have been my brother's sole carer for over a year and this was an arrangement that had happened against my will. There had been promises made about family coming over to help me with this but those promises had not been kept.
My brother has autism and is quite dependent on me to do a lot of things for him. Though he is able-bodied, he needs assistance in day to day things like someone to cook for him and provide him with a good quality of living. That falls onto me who is his younger sister and who has had to sacrifice a lot of what she has wanted to do. I dropped out of school because I couldn't keep up with doing both caring and getting an education. It also affected my social life and ability to get a job since I can't leave him at home for more than a couple of hours. It decreased my mental health horribly to the point where I'm a danger to myself constantly.
We also live in a studio apartment which is very small and only has one bed which we both share. I have no privacy from him and he has no privacy from me. It has affected me to the point where I honestly cannot cope and I really need to get my life back on track.
I've spoken to my mother who has also agreed that he needs to return but the plane tickets are expensive. Luckily, they have gone down and moved from £800 to £460 which is wonderfully good as that is less than half the other amount. The flight for this ticket is for the 15th of January so if it would be possible to raise the amount before that time, it would be wholly appreciated it. I think it would do the both of us a lot of good to finally have our space from each other so we can breathe and no longer live together in such a cramped space. Every little bit helps immensely and I'm really grateful.
