Hope for Kim

My friend, Kim Davis, has recently been diagnosed with MS. She has been suffering with many debilitating medical problems and through it all she has maintained a sense of humor, an infectious laugh and a determination to survive, to support herself and to find out what was happening to her body. Kim is a Birth Photographer and since she is single and living alone she has tried to continue working. This has caused a severe exacerbation of what we now know is MS. I am hoping we can come together and raise enough money to pay her rent and her bills for at least a few months so that she can have time to try her new MS medication, decrease her stress and let her body relax and heal. Any amount that you can donate will help her get through this dark chapter in her life. With Christmas coming, maybe you could adopt her as one of your Christmas angels and help bring some peace to a real life angel in her time of need.

Kim recently posted this response after watching a video about a girl who has MS: I can totally relate to her saying "I'm hot I'm so hot!" I guess her legs is how my left foot feels and arms. When my arms go out I have no motor control over them I can't control my fingers or my mouse to edit then seeing yellow and green is really throwing me off. So every opportunity it slightly diminishes I jump at working but I crash for days after.

Her laying in his arms looking around reminds me of how I do when I wake up on the floor or just so hot and faint feeling so scared wondering how long I've been down there, who all saw it, being embarrassed and hoping I didn't hurt myself.

I remember apologizing so many times to my clients for my hand tremors prior to their session. I didn't want them to think I was an alcoholic and going to drop their newborn baby. I would ice myself down before and during the session. Apologizing for how bad I profusely sweated in my already hot studio that mimics the womb. When they would leave I would crash. By year 2 into my business (which this is only making 3 years) I couldn't do back to back session unless I absolutely had to. I did and I have paid for it, my body shut down, the stress took over, me doing it to myself some from clients being hurtful an it got me to where I am today...
Hello acute exacerbation!
I cannot WAIT for the medicine to get here!!!!!! So I can get back to normal and feel these hands without feeling like a tens unit is connected to them constantly and like I've slept on my arm all night long.

Tip for anyone concerned about having MS: I was told by other professionals I was menopausal, anxious, ADHD, Depressed, blood work got mixed up(um yes), Thyroid problem, possible early signs of Parkinson's the list goes on...all though bloodwork turned out fine I was put on Meds for all of this. It is very hard to diagnose. So do not stop searching. Listen to your body. I got to a very dark place. I would wake up on the floor had fallen out of my editing chair. Sometimes hurt not knowing how long I had been there. I quit driving because of this. I did not go anywhere because of the swelling of my body as well from what is knows as the MS Hug got so bad I would go from a size 4 to a size 10 in a matter of hours. So I got sick of it. Clothes also felt like sand paper going onto my body. I would also wear black constantly because of sweating. I would look 6 months pregnant due to the swelling. My invisible baby would be gone by morning. Ask those who know me. It is crazy!! It still happens. It wasn't until I got a headache so severe (which I never got headaches) it felt like my head was being pulled from the top of a champagne glass forced down into the stem. I began vomiting. I first blamed it on my neck surgery assuming metal in a persons neck would cause anyone headaches as well as my arm not moving. I couldn't understand how someone like me who always bounced back couldn't get better and always got sick! I
That's when neurologist saw fluid behind my eyes (hence yellow and green vision) they knew my description was not migraines (he even called it from the beginning that I had a TIA but was concerned I had MS) the mri showed gliosis (brain damage) the spinal tap had a high opening pressure (pressure/fluid on brain) labs of spinal fluid came back I had Multiple Sclerosis
I was in there almost daily in the fetal position getting injected

I am beginning to have the headaches again and getting a little worried. They will begin injections in my head the week of the 1st.

This medicine Tecfidera will be the first I try for my MS (although I'm on many more)
I'm praying it's the right fit!! I'm so ready to be back to normal.

I hope this answers questions for so many of you who have asked.
