This is extremely hard for all of us and even harder for us to ask for help. If anyone knows us at all, they know we are the ones that hold it together for our family and friends and are the ones to help any and everyone any chance we can! Unfortunately, life has dealt Kelly an even harder hand. This time last year, she went through radiation and chemo for gallbladder cancer they found upon removing her gallbladder. She was in such positive spirits and went through it like a champ. She is such a strong-minded, God-driven individual that she has me convinced she can get through anything! Then, unfortunately, she was hit with a pulmonary embolism right at the end of her chemo, so she decided at that time to quit chemo after undergoing a procedure for the blood clots in her lungs.

Right after that, in May 2025, Jerry went into the hospital with 30% heart function and had to also have a procedure on his heart, leaving him without a job. The job he had been at for 8 years that supported them! Ashley and I have been paying their bills for the last 6 months and even picked up DoorDashing between our 2 full-time jobs to try to help with some of the extra expenses.

Well, it doesn't stop there for Kelly. We had to take her into the hospital after she was jaundiced at the end of September, and she was admitted back into the hospital for yet again ANOTHER procedure. This time for a stent in her bile duct to be placed because she was clogged due to a tumor. Her cancer is back now in that area, pancreas, and liver. We all met with her oncologist after she was discharged, and she was given 9 months to a year with the type of cancer this is. She is beginning aggressive cancer treatment tomorrow, 11-03-25, with no gas to get her to and from these appointments, all while Ashley and I are spinning our wheels to barely make the bills! We just want to make these holidays the best possible for her! She's an amazing Grandma to her 3 grandchildren, a wonderful mom, and a caring person to everyone she comes across! She has chosen treatment because she is beyond terrified of becoming Ill to the cancer and it overcoming her body and her dying from that. We just want to make her last time with us as best as possible because she deserves it!

We got them set up with state assistance, but of course, everyone knows what's going on with that and the government shutdown. On top of that, they were both just cut off of their food stamps anyway. Everything is just working so against us in every way it seems. Kelly has mentioned wanting to make one last trip to Flagstaff, AZ, where she grew up, before she dies. We just want her to be able to live and at least get to her doctor's appointments without having to worry or stress! She had her port placed last week, and with treatment starting tomorrow, even if you can't donate, please just say a little prayer for Kelly as she starts this journey!
