Support for Stacy
Donation protected
In April 2017, at the age of 30, my baby sister Stacy was diagnosed with Invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2. She went through chemo and radiation and kicked cancers ass! She had a lumpectomy in her breast to remove remaining cancer cells and later underwent a partial hysterectomy to remove ovaries to reduce her risk of developing ovarian cancer. She was "cancer free" or so we thought until January 2020.
In January, Stacy fractured her hip out of nowhere doing a simple activity. Long story short, this eventually led to a multitude of tests which revealed a devastating diagnosis. Metastatic breast cancer stage 4. The cancer was back, and not only was it back, it has spread to her bones, pancreas, liver, lymph nodes and multiple tumors in her brain. There is no cure for this cancer and any treatment is palliative. She has already begun radiation for the brain tumors. This radiation makes it impossible for her to work because she sleeps most of the day and when she is awake she is vomiting and sick to her stomach. She is not able to drive either, my mom has moved in with her temporarily to help take her to treatments. After the radiation, Stacy will begin long term chemotherapy.
As a family, there really are no words to express our gratitude for everybody that has helped in any and all ways leading us here today. Stacy is worth fighting for, and she's worth every prayer, every good vibe and well wish you have. I wish all of that were enough to make her well enough so that she wouldn't have to do any treatments at all, but that's not how life works sometimes. If you are able to donate, any amount will help alleviate the financial stress off of Stacy and her family so she can focus on just staying strong and fighting as hard as she can for as long as she can.
We Biglins love you all and thank you in advance for any donation, big or small.
