Ken's Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
Ken Engisch has been diagnosed with an aggressive soft tissue tonsular cancer in November 2015. He had been feeling pain and weakness some time before that and had sought dental and medical treatment thinking perhaps it was a toothache or inner ear problem. It was neither of those things. The cancer started in his left tonsil and has spread to his jaw and lymph nodes. It is inoperable, or, advised inoperable (only as a very last ditch effort) because this would necessitate loss of voice, hearing and part of face and throat.
Ken has been exceedingly ill and unable to work. Bills are piling up as well as health insurance being a nightmarish red-tape challenge. He has been through half of his radiation treatments WITHOUT pain medications other than over the counter pain relievers which is insufficient . Chemotherapy and radiation has affected some minor positive improvements, which, will hopefully continue. Ken would prefer to explore some naturopathic treatment options in addition to traditional treatment, which are not covered by insurance, to boost his survival rate and level of wellness.
Anything one could offer would greatly assist with the healing process as well as the costs of living until he can return to work. At the very minimum this could be three to six months.
Ken has been a good friend and often helps others. I have known him to be the best of friends in the most difficult time I have personally faced and it is hard to watch him struggle like this.
It is my hope that friends and family will donate so he does not have to worry about these additional large stressors while he focuses on his treatments and feeling better so he can beat this.
Ken will be most grateful for the help.
Assistance is needed immediately.
In addition, sharing this campaign will be of great help.
Thank you all for your kind consideration and support.
Love and thanks,
