Many of you have been following our 16 year long journey with cancer. It began as early detection breast cancer that lead to invasive surgeries. Then, five years later, it turned into stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that spread to her liver, and because of her aggressive chemo treatment she almost died. With this type of cancer, she had a 1% chance of living beyond the year. A few years later, we got word that her cancer had metastasized to her brain, resulting in a radiation treatment. This past January, we found out that her tumor in her brain was reactivated, resulting in brain surgery where they removed the majority of the tumor.
Our journey has been painful, long, scary, and has brought us to our knees more times than we can count. We are weary and our souls are aching. Watching her suffer has been one of the most excruciating ongoing realities we have had to learn to live with.
This go fund me raised $8,500 as of 8/22!!! Praise God for y’all’s generosity. That money will go to my dad for all the at home care.
There are many others costs for the family to position our lives to be near her (ie Matthew and Lindsey getting a long term rental) that all funds over the $8,850 will go towards. No pressure on giving but any amount will
