Hi friends,

Our dog was involved in a hit and run accident on Sunday. He made it through the initial trauma, but still has a long recovery. We brought him to the Emergency Clinic in Latham, NY and upon arrival he had several contusions on his lungs and internal bleeding. He was in critical condition and they were not sure he would make it. Fast-forward 48 hours and $6,000 worth of care and his internal bleeding stabilized, he was breathing room air, and they were not having to pull any more leaking air from his chest cavity. We could bring him home! We were all very excited with this news and we brought him home late last night.

He is still in so much pain and still in very rough shape. He needs sedated wound irrigation and bandage changes every day at the local vet. $300/day and will need several weeks to fully recover. It is going to be a long road. Any donation amount would be extremely helpful with these unforeseen and very untimely (after Kaiden's recent surgerys) medical bills. Any help you can give would be so much appreciated.
