Calling all fans of Patrick O’Brian, Tall Ships, and living history!

I shared with my friends in the Patrick O’Brian Appreciation Society my observations on her condition and many of them encouraged me to help. So here we are!

The beloved ship, Surprise, star of Master and Commander, The Far Side of the World, needs our help. She is in need of major repairs. Because she isn’t a survivor original ship, the museum has struggled to raise the funds for her upkeep. Let’s keep this beautiful ship alive for future generations to fall in love with all over again!
