Hello! I’m Chris Chew and I’m the Commanding Officer of HMS Lancaster (Starboard Crew). A couple of nights ago the challenge was set to me by my Second in Command; that was challenge was to complete a full distance (Ironman distance) triathlon whilst at sea!

Usually done on land (on a well designed course), I will instead be doing it on HMS Lancaster, whilst at sea (with temperatures reaching mid 40 degrees Celsius). This will include a 3.8km swim, 180km on a turbo trainer, followed by 42km around the upper deck (approximately 170 laps).

I'm raising money in aid of The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that regularly helps HMS Lancaster as well as all other units in the Royal Navy.

Whilst the date is still to be confirmed, I’ll ‘look forward’ to doing this at some point in early June!
