Hi, I am Margaret, and this GoFundMe is for my brother, Tony.

Please help Tony rebuild his home after a horrific landslide in Trinidad destroyed his home and land.

Richard Black Aka (Tony/keeper) was born on May 19th, 1972 in Arima, Trinidad. He is the son of late James and Christine Black. Tony, as his parents fondly called him, is loved by all. He is the second youngest of five children and plays an important role in the family. Tony was born with a speech impediment, which he later outgrew to a great extent. In addition to being handsome, Tony is extremely hardworking, honest, caring, and reliable. During his teenage years, he endured much hardship. He lost his father in a horrific accident which he witnessed. As the tractor went downhill, the tractor overturned, killing his father on impact. Having witnessed such an accident, his life was never the same, yet Tony embarked on the journey to care for his mother and younger sister.

Unfortunately, Tony lost his house due to heavy rainfalls throughout July and early August. The heavy rainfall caused a landslide, which completely destroyed Tony’s home, making his land unfit to build another house. His house was a modest wooden structure. Tony is currently living in a makeshift shed on his destroyed property. The damage from the landslides was so severe that Tony has to relocate and build a brand-new home.

Tony works a temporary construction job and works as a part-time farmer taking care of crops.

Tony is a proud father of three dogs, Brownie, Rover, and Gypsy. Together, all four of them love to go hunting and swimming. Fortunately, Tony and his dogs are safe, and the only structure that wasn’t damaged from the landslides and is standing strong is the dog house.
