Hi, can you help? I have never asked for anything for myself in my whole life. The beautiful boy in the photo is 8 years old and has found himself in a boarding kennel. He lived with his owner, who became unwell and had to go into hospital for tests, and as he had no one who was able to look after his dog, he paid for him to stay in the kennels until he was discharged. But, sadly, his owner died suddenly. And this boy is now in need of a home. The owner's family are not in a position to take him in, and have asked everyone they know as they don't want him to have to go to a rehoming centre. He is loved. He has had a good home and a good life. He will be confused and will feel abandoned. My partner and I already have two aging Labradors, both female. We can make room for him in our home and our hearts. And we have decided to bring him into our family. But, we are living off our pensions and, although we will meet the everyday financial costs, I am asking for your help with the immediate financial outlay. He will need his vaccinations, as they have expired. And he is an entire male, so he will have to be neutered as he is going to live with females. We would also ensure that he is covered by pet insurance, to cover any unexpected vet bills in the future. We have a holiday booked in August, and the kind people who look after our girls have said they will also take him, too. But that will cost money that we haven't budgeted for. Not to mention the extra Bonios and treats. Just joking. He will not go short of those. But any help just to cover the initial outlay of vaccinations, neutering and adding him to the pet insurance would be amazing.
