This is Anita, a friend to many, lover of all animals, and an all-around exceptional person. You know her. She would give you the shirt off her back, ok so maybe not the shirt of her back because...NAKED. But she would definitely give you her socks. She's been there for all of us any time we need her. And today, she needs us.

 

The last several years put her through the wringer between chronic sinus issues and severe disc problems in her back. Anita endured one major back surgery, two sinus surgeries, two trips to the emergency room, two unsuccessful epidurals to relieve back pain, two MRIs, and many physical therapy treatments. In addition to her medical issues, Anita also cared for Sammi, her beloved cat, who developed cancer. Sammi had cancer surgery and treatment to prolong her life but sadly passed two days before Anita's back surgery.

 

Anita is finally beginning to feel better, but these procedures have been a financial strain. It is hard to heal when money worries weigh on your conscience. It was difficult for her to allow me to create this fundraiser. Anita is a self-made person and works harder than anyone I know, but sometimes we all need a little help from our friends.
