Funeral for Mum

Mandy Elizabeth Hedley...
A magnificent mother to me and my 5 siblings. A delightful daughter, sensational sister, amazing auntie & fabulous friend to everyone she met. An all round wonderful woman. Taken from us far too soon!
My mum was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis in July 2012, this is a rare form of bone marrow cancer. We were terrified. She was very ill and had lost alot of weight in a very short amount of time. Fortunately she was offered a transplant in Oxford! Well they were sorting out a donor match, we all pulled together and stayed strong. Making plans for well mum was away in hospital and preparing mum mentally and physically for what she was about to endure. She went in for her transplant April 2013. It was one of the most difficult times we've ever been through for everyone, but most of all my mum. She is the bravest and most inspirational person I know! She still had lots of recovering to do when she got home, but she had done it everything was going to be OK! She was full of life again, just like she always had been. A smile that could light up a room. A laugh you could hear for miles. Love and joy just oozed from her aura. She was kind to everyone she met, no matter their background. An amazing healer, so much to give. She loved to dance, to sing, to donate, but most of all spend time with her family! It was amazing to see her back in action doing so well, with the odd side effect, but that was to be expected after a transplant and chemotherapy!
However in 2016 she relapsed! Oxford tried everything to reverse the effects but her cancer cells were fighting back. We were looking at another transplant. So we start again... Oxford looking for another donor. Us united to beat Cancer for a second time. We were nearly there, a donor was found, a month was chosen for the transplant. Then things began to change, mum kept getting infections & was in and out of hospital. She was getting better and then getting worse. We kept strong as a unit, like we always have, with my mums optimism... She will get better, she will have her transplant & she will be fine! But 4/6/19 she could fight no more... Such a strong, beautiful, loving soul. She left a huge whole in so many lives. A massive loss to the world! But she is with the angles now, watching over us!
She had no plans to leave us so soon, and we did not expect to lose our beautiful mother. It was so sudden, and right at the last hurdle! So please help us give her the send off she deserves, anything will help, even the smallest donation is appreciated! We are forever grateful!
