FIGHT FOR OUR GYM

My name is Lorenzo but most know me as the honorable name of Coach initially I was going to format this informational synopsis professionally but the fact of the matter is, it wouldn’t be authentic because truthfully I’m immersed with sadness with overwhelming feelings of failure and confusion compassion seems to be a stranger at the moment sensibility and humanity is nowhere to be found and damnit I’m trying to the best of my ability to shield an injustice that is currently taking place to the people I love the most on this earth My FIGHT FAMILY see I wasn’t raised like most I was an orphan from 4 weeks old until emancipation at the age of 17 life has been brutal if I may say so myself for instance, my father died when I was three weeks old. My sister was murdered at the age of 12 and most recently I lost my biological mother, to suicide life has never been favorable to me so my mental and emotional defense seems to be growing weaker with each day’s passing see I’ve grown conditioned to the fact that everything I’ve ever loved in life, is currently a memory to me, and I will have to remember them longer than I ever had the chance of loving them so in the truest form of transparency I write to you today asking for a hand up not a handout because for the first time in my life, the only sense of unity love and genuine laughter has come from this chapter of my life and I’m pleading with each, and everyone of you that reads this story to help me, protect, the family that chose me so with that being said I’m a small business owner in the city of San Diego Ca I’m the proud owner of Fight Boxing Gym but currently my establishment is unlawfully being taken from me by a slumlord we have 22 days remaining & $38,800 of funding we must raise We have been summoned to court. My possessions are currently being seized and now we seek legal assistance but most of all my children and fight family of the gym are suffering fearfully the place they’ve grown to call home will soon no longer be and this breaks my heart because I couldn’t protect the family I was born into and now I’ll be damned if I lose this one i’ve done my due diligence being a first generational Latino in America pursuing the American dream of entrepreneurship, helping at risk youth to conquer stories, such as former incarceration and probation to now the youth to being liberated from juvenile courts system high school graduates that were on the verge of dropping out and molding them young minds into becoming college graduates, stories of refugees also in their own pursuit of happiness, choosing me to help guide them in their profession watching my kids grow from boys to men as they become honorably married, as I stand chosen to be the best man with heartwarming surprises of children, being born into our FIGHT FAMILY so I pray and request that you help the continuance of our story as FIGHT FAMILY as we FIGHT TO SAVE OUR GYM Sincerely, Coach Lorenzo
