As many of you know, my mom, was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in May 2020. While we hoped this disease would not be aggressive it has proven the opposite.

She is currently in hospice care and expected to have less than 6 months left. The hospice nurses do not come daily so my dad has hired private care for her that is quite expensive. This private care alone is roughly $600 per week, but is necessary as she is bed bound. We are reaching out for help as this type of expense is just not sustainable on a fixed income but the care is required. Private care two hours a day is still cheaper than an actual extended care facility.
