The sudden loss of a family's breadwinner

Please help our family in the Philippines. Our father, a Navy Vietnam veteran, was rushed to the emergency room a week before Christmas due to a seizure. He was admitted to the hospital for further evaluation where he later developed hospital-contracted pneumonia. He eventually ended in up in the ICU right after Christmas due to complications. A few later ago, my niece who was his primary caregiver caught COVID while accompanying him at the hospital. He was then transferred to a regular isolation room. He went into cardiac arrest in his sleep a few days later.
Although a good portion of his hospital fees would be covered by insurance, there is still a significant portion that will be out-of-pocket. Even though our father had diligently prepared for his old age, the cost of healthcare + prescriptions and 3 hospitalizations in the past year have quickly depleted his emergency funds. He was the sole breadwinner of the household. My niece had to stop working in order to care for him when his dementia and other medical conditions progressed.
We are raising funds that will hopefully help with remaining hospital bills that current funds will not cover, including household expenses, healthcare and prescription costs for my mom, food, and other expenses for the next few months until my niece can find work to support them. The current upsurge in COVID cases presents a great challenge in finding new employment for my niece. At the same time, we are not entirely sure how quickly the bank will release funds that are left in my father's account.
The worst part of losing a family member is not being able to say a proper goodbye in person. COVID makes it a million times worse. We lost our dad today at 7:47am, Jan 14, 2022 Manila time. He didn't have COVID. My sibling and I (and our families) couldn't say goodbye in person because we are not allowed to fly back to the Philippines due to COVID. My niece couldn't say goodbye because she caught COVID while caring for my dad in the hospital. My mom couldn't say goodbye because they wouldn't let her into the hospital for her own safety due to rising numbers of COVID patients.
Our father was a simple man but he was the best human being we knew, hands down. He was kind, he was generous, he was humble, he was smart, he was funny, he was an awesome husband, dad, grandfather, brother, relative, friend, and neighbor. He leaves behind, my mother, my sister, 5 grandchildren and 2 brothers as he joins my brother in the afterlife.
We will miss him.
