Help the Rabah Family Rebuild their Bombed Home !

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Hana Jaber. I am gathering funds for my childhood family friends in Al Nusayrat, Gaza. Belal Rabah, the eldest son of the family, is trying to rebuild his family’s home after it has been destroyed. The funds will be used for the rebuilding of the home - and in the meantime will also be allocated to sustain their lives through food and necessary supplies as well as escort them safely out of Gaza until a permanent ceasefire.

Below is Belal’s message:

Dear kindhearted souls,

Thank you for sharing your precious time to read my dire appeal to rescue my family from the genocide taking place in Gaza. My name is Belal Rabah, I am a Palestinian from Gaza who left to continue my education outside of the country. I am very distressed about the safety of my family members that are still under siege in Gaza helplessly experiencing the apocalyptic scenes that you see on a daily basis on social media. My father, mother, and two younger sisters are still in Gaza, enduring the trauma daily but fighting to survive.

My family has been dislocated many times during these cruel and inhumane 7 months from Al-Bureij camp to Al-Nusayrat camp to Rafah and back again to Al-Nusayrat camp.

Our neighborhood in Al-Bureij camp has been annihilated by the barbarous bloodthirsty warplanes. We only have a few pictures of our home that were taken during a temporary ceasefire that lasted a week (24th Nov 2023 - 30 Nov 2023). Since then, no one would dare to go back as it is a very dangerous off limits area.

Furthermore, my dad lost his job as a teacher at the Islamic University of Gaza. The University was bombed to the ground and since then, he has spent all of his savings on food due to the extreme rise in prices in order to manage taking care of my family and cling to life during this genocide.

Please support me in helping my family leave Gaza for the time being to Egypt. I also ask for help in rebuilding our home when the ceasefire finally takes place and they can return back and have a proper life not moving from one person’s home to another or living in a tent.

Never have my family asked money from anyone nor intended to, but apparently life sometimes forces you to do even that.

The funds will be distributed as the following:

1- Fees to be paid to the Egyptian authorities to register my family for travel ($5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child).

We will need to pay $17,500 as travel fees to the Egyptian authorities.
My family includes:
- My parents, Fahid and Manal ($10,000)
- My sister Ola (26 y.o) ($5,000)
- My sister Haya (15 y.o) ($2,500)

2- Fees to rebuild our demolished home: (~$35,000)

3- GoFundMe and transfer fees:

GoFundMe typically charges a platform fee of 2.9%, along with a $0.30 processing fee per donation. This means that the total fees deducted by GoFundMe from the raised funds will amount to approximately $1680.
Additionally, we need to consider transfer fees incurred until we withdraw the funds in cash and deliver them to Egypt to have our family registered for travel. For this purpose, we will need at least another $1500.

In total, we will need to raise between $55,680 and $56,000.

Every donation, be it $1 will provide my family a beacon of hope and another chance of rebuilding a cozy warm home.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity, this means the world to me.

May whoever helps us be blessed with infinite blessings, wealth, health, and happiness throughout their lives.

My warm sincere appreciation,
Belal Rabah
