Anyone who knows me knows how i have struggled and knows how my boys have struggled . Sammy is extremely close to his initial decision on his SSDI application for severe schizophrenia.. Adam has accepted his diagnosis for the same, somewhat, but refuses meds because he is afraid of them .. i am working on him . I have made a great deal of progress since this spring when i had him hospitalized against his will .. Right now i am the only person working , the only person with income . I worked hard to become a CNA which is a low paying job but provided all the basics we needed to live . I received very bad news a while back ..I can not even bring myself to say what it is because once i say it and put it out there i can not take it back and i am just not ready to share yet .. because of this bad news i have standing appointments 3 times a week .. i have lost my 12 hour Monday Shift . that is a full 1/3 of my pay . I am waiting to hear back from a previous place of employment who said they were willing to take me back and give me 3 12 hour OVERNIGHT shifts .. so none of my appointments would be during my work hours . They are fully staffed right now .. so they WILL call me when they have room for me . Until then , which might be next month or three months from now .. i need to find a way to help make up the difference in my income . I am asking for help . My life has been a mess for a very long time . BUT i have been making huge strides .. if my son is approved for SSDI soon this all goes away within a few mos. I was told it takes between 60-90 days to get your back pay and first SSDI check .. but he can also be denied, which is very common and go into the appeal process .
