On Sunday, July 28th, Matt Webb was involved in a life changing road biking accident. A lifelong cyclist, he was out on a solo ride when he was thrown from his bike down a 100 foot embankment. He laid at the bottom for over an hour, unable to move or call out for help. He could have been there for some time, if not for the kindness of a stranger passing by who saw his bike, stopped to investigate, and initiated emergency services for him. He was airlifted to the Surgical-Neuroscience ICU at Albany Medical Center where he remains, awaiting transfer to an Acute Spinal Rehab facility.
As a result of the accident, Matt sustained life altering injuries. Though it is unclear what the long-term prognosis is, he is currently partially paralyzed. This is a devastating event for Matt’s family, his wife Mary Ann and their two sons Brennan and Christian.
Insurance will only cover a fraction of these medical costs. The expenses will add up very quickly. As his friends and family, we're asking for your support. The proceeds will go not only to Matt’s medical expenses, but also to his family to be able to prepare for life at home.
Please find it in your hearts to help Matt and his family; all contributions are a blessing.
We are so grateful for your help.
