On August 28th 2019 Sommer was heading out like any normal day to take her little brother to church when tragedy struck and she was in a very bad car accident, Sommer was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where she remains in ICU she has a severe concussion, multiple pelvic fractures (they consider it shattered) and a contusion to her bladder. In addition she has a small fracture to her sacrum and other fractures within the pelvis and tailbone.  She will need multiple surgeries and alot of therapy, her mother hasnt left her side since she has been in there, her father has been with her brother whom was also with Sommer at the time he is now fine though.  Both parents will be missing alot of work to be with Sommer so as a community please let's pull together and make this time a little less stressful on them as a mother myself the very last thing that should be on their mind is how the bills/hospital or therapy will get paid. People that know Sommer knows shes an outgoing 16 year old girl who's in the 12th grade and huge on Softball and is a loving caring friend, and at this time she needs everyone to step up and support her. She is a fighter and has a long life to live let's show her how much this community loves her whether you be a parent a friend, anything... show this family the support they need - the same support they've shown this community time and time again from free softball pointers, lessons practices etc. WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER & PLEASE CONTINUE WITH PRAYERS.
