Hey guys, my name is David Pollack and I am fundraising for my nonprofit called cooking without kidneys. We are dedicated to help people on dialysis not just survive, but thrive through food. We do that in cooking demos, classes and competitions enriching people's lives and showing them that even on a restrictive diet, fresh and fun ideas are available. The reason I am so passionate about this is I used to be on dialysis. I am a nine year kidney recipient and spent 4.5 years on dialysis. I have seen so many people on dialysis who did not survive because of what they ate. The national average, last I checked, was 76% of people who die on dialysis is from potassium poisoning. My goal is to lower that significantly by giving people the tools to create fun and excitement in there own homes.
