Support Michael's Journey to Healing

Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I am reaching out to ask for support as I navigate a challenging time in my life and work toward healing.

I live with a number of co-occurring mental health disorders including cptsd, bi-polar type 1, and substance use disorder. Throughout my life, I have had long stretches of relative stability and I have had intense, destabilizing episodes that are hard on my health, relationships, finances, and sense of self. I do what I can to work with my doctors, adhere to treatments, go to therapy, and maintain a support network of trusted friends and family. Occasionally, any one of the conditions I live with can trigger another in response to personal, local, and global events.

I am now at the tail end of an episodewhich has been unfolding over the past three months, making it difficult for me to function in fulfilling and sustainable way. After much reflection, I’ve realized that taking time to recover is essential for my long-term well-being and growth.

My goal is to take a few months to focus on healing, address past and recent trauma, and rebuild my sense of self. This will involve therapy, rest, and creating a stable environment that allows me to prioritize my mental health. I am hoping to

not work during this time so I may focus what I need to in order to heal.

I am reaching out for support to help cover my basic expenses—such as rent, food, and utilities during this recovery period. My aim is to build a foundation of stability that will allow me to regain my strength and independence.
