Hi, I am hoping to raise money for our sweet boy Gizmo. Gizzy is our family pet. He is a 6-year-old Pomeranian mix. He was my grandmother's dog until she was not able to take care of him any longer. My parents adopted him into our family 2 years ago. He is the most lovable dog you could ever meet! He got sick right before Christmas with vomiting and not wanting to eat. My mom just figured it was a little bug or something. But then on Christmas Eve, she was up most of the night with him vomiting, and it was getting worse. Mom woke me up at 5 am, and she and I spent Christmas Day in an emergency vet hospital. After a long day, a big bill, and no answers, my parents ended up taking him to another hospital in Norristown, PA. So now, 2 hours away from us, my mom finally found out it was his gallbladder, and it was starting to rupture. They did surgery and gave him a 50/50 chance. My mom went to church, lit candles, and prayed! He made it through the surgery and every day got better. 6 days later, my parents brought him home, and he is almost back to his old self!!! My parents ended up with a huge bill... almost $18,000.00. My mom didn't complain, and I know she would do it all again. But it is a lot, and any little bit helps, so I wanted to do this for my parents and for Gizzy!
