Meet Blu/Azul/Blusef/Bluski, my sweet and gentle pup who has been by my side through every chapter of my life. Unfortunately, Blu was recently diagnosed with a malignant ectopic thyroid carcinoma — an aggressive form of cancer. The tumor is located over the basal hyoid bone, which makes it inoperable. Surgery is not an option. His only chance now is to undergo radiation therapy.

As many of you know, Blu and I are attached at the hip — he goes *everywhere* with me and is my constant shadow. He has gotten me through law school, through both of my parents getting sick, and through some of the hardest moments of my life. He’s not just a pet — he’s my emotional anchor, and has been paramount in controlling my anxiety.

Sadly, Blu’s pet insurance has maxed out for the year, and the cost of radiation treatment is more than I can manage on my own in one lump sum. That’s why I’m reaching out for help.
