Help in our time of need.

Hello, we are Harry and Sharon Lay and we are fundraising for financial help to meet our on-going expenses for our daily medicines for both I and Sharon and for monthly expenses such as insurances, food, utilities etc., that we are short on each month.

We both have over a period of years, experienced a number of serious health problems. I, Harry, have fought cancer on three separate occasions and continue to do so. In addition, I continue to have serious heart conditions and currently under the care of a heart failure doctor. Sharon, also, has several chronic health problems which require on-going attention, treatments and medicines, therefore, requiring several medications for us both on a daily basis and with the economy and how expensive medicines are makes it hard to maintain due to a lack of enough income to pay for all of our needs and medicines. I, Harry, am a veteran and receive a few medicines through VA at a discounted price but still have to pay for many medicines I need.

To add to our financial woes, prior to my retirement, my place of employment was taken over by a new leadership that done away with some of my financial benefits, so I only receive $152.35 a month from the many years working with this company along with a small amount of social security which isn’t enough to meet our monthly obligations and all of our medicines we need. We have exhausted all of our savings and have cut as much as we can, including losing our life insurances and no longer have anything for burial expenses.

We actively keep seeking options to make ends meet such as trying to sell a car, furniture and have yard sales but with very little luck. Throughout these challenges we have been determined to remain faithful and handle these challenges the best we can. We are people who have always worked hard to provide for ourselves and our family. With the cost of living and expensive medicines, we are at a point of needing funds to help pay for these on-going expenses. We are 84 and 79 years of age and both of us are unable to work anymore and the need is just more than we have coming in to meet our needs.

Our children and church family have helped considerably in the past two years but our needs are greater than they can provide, so thus, the need for this Go Fund Me.

A gift of any amount would be “greatly appreciated” and would greatly help meet our medicine needs and cost of living. It, also, will help relieve the stress and concerns this has caused us. Your kindness would be most gratefully appreciated in our time of need.
